Centres of Excellence Showcase Event

“We were really pleased to attend the Centres of Excellence Showcase Event in London. All five CoEs were represented and summarised their high-level achievements in delivering part of the overall Data to Early Diagnosis and Precision Medicine Challenge which UKRI, through Innovate UK, partly funded. The D2EDPM Challenge aims to accelerate the development of data-driven healthcare technologies for clinical use; develop centres of excellence/clusters of high-quality diagnostic, digital health and precision medicine-focused companies; support the growth of the UK’s precision medicine sector; and increase efficiencies in the NHS.

It was very rewarding to hear NCIMI’s Chief Medical Officer Professor Fergus Gleeson present NCIMI’s achievements over the last four years which included connecting up our network of 12 NHS Trusts with 14 Industry partners allowing imaging data flows as well as some notable successes in delivering and evaluating AI tools in the NHS. My thanks go to all those individuals within our NHS and Industry partners whose hard work over the last four years has helped deliver the NCIMI programme.”
